Hydraulic bearing clearance issues and workarounds?

My pressure plate fingers to the outside of my lakewood scattershield is 3.882". I'm using a A833OD transmission with the 308 bearing retainer that is 4.807" in diameter since that is the opening size of my scattershield. I measured 3.032" from the hydraulic bearing face to the face of the transmission. The difference is 0.849" so for my clearance to be in the spec of .150-.200" I need to use approx a .700" spacer. Now this puts the hydraulic bearing past the end of the bearing retainer shaft. Does someone make bearing retainers with longer than stock shaft lengths? Thanks in advance.
