I've been a 3+ pack a day smoker for 35+ years. Haven't had a smoke for 45 hours.

I quit drinking carbonated drinks cold turkey one day. Was drinking a big gulp (or 2) of Diet Coke a day plus whatever I had for dinner and lunch, refills, etc. I thought it was the toughest thing I could try as I interacted with it daily at least 5 time. Just to prove that I could be stronger than a habit. Been 3 years and going, have not missed it~ Oh, Beer is exempt, but I drink maybe 2 a month. Wife quite smoking with no aids, when we planned to get pregnant. Now Nate is 18! Your mind is stronger than any will you train it to have. Stay strong!
