What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

I got mine from Dante's, I wonder if they are all from the same supplier?

Stripped out the rubber mat of doom.

Otherwise a very rust free car but the dang rubber mat ......

The passenger side front has a few holes the size of nickels but it doesn't go through anywhere else.

I moved my electric fuel pump down to the bottom right in front of the rear wheel. I had it too high before.

Just need to lengthen the power wire. Going to use the hole left from the fuel line clamp for the ground. You can't see them, but I used rubber washers between the bracket and frame. Hopefully it will quiet the pump down!

My thrust washer kit should arrive tomorrow. Then I'll finish the transmission rebuild and get 'er in so I can find some car shows!!!

Installed some new new Fender throttle cables. And made some noise! Made in USA from fine Kruppstahl. I was too lazy to work on the Barracuda. Organized my parts pile, if that counts?

Not sure if you guys care to hear about non A body mopars, but This is also on FCBO.

Got my 66 fury started (only for a minute) and learned more about it.

The car was parked in 1998 (I remember seeing this car when I was in high school in the early 2000s) and it sat in the same spot until I cut all the trees around it and dug it out in August of 2018.

I greased each cylinder and pulled the distibutor and turned the oil pump for 10 minutes with a drill the evening before I attempted to turn the engine.

I connected a battery and DEAD
Replaced the battery cables and ran a hot wire to the coil .... DEAD.
replaced the starter and it fired but I couldn't keep it running and the carb gushed gas everywhere.

At least i know it's a good poly, sounded good for the minute.

2020 has been a good year for me so far because the wenches have been turning non stop. I'm making up for 2018 and 2019 being wasted years with nothing on cars moving.

Finished cleaning up the back half of the undercarriage and got some por15 on it. Eventually it will wear out of my hair and everywhere else it decided to drip on

After market temp gauge took a dump and the needle barely lifted off the cold pin, checked and had a spare but different face had the same oil pressure gauge as well So fitted these 2 up ,now trying to find a volt gauge ??? Don’t even know where I scored these from . Both work well that’s the main thing .

Nasty stuff to try and get off took weeks to get that stuff off my arms and face .
Yes it is. Came out of my hair fairly easy but I could only stand so much scrubbing to get the rest off. It will wear off sooner or later. SEM makes one similar that I have used that is a bit thicker and doesn't run as bad but I ran out of that. It was also more of a flat black

Wire wheeled the floors in the demon to eliminate any scale rust.

Then applied rust Mort. It turned the rust black. Now I wait to primer it.

I found more pinholes on the passenger side but strange it turned out to be completely solid on the driver side.

Haven’t used Mort before but looks good. Fiberglass would work good on those holes in floor,Joe

Got my entire TTI manifold back system on my Dart complete and I'm loving it. This is my very recently rebuilt 360, that got a basic starting tune to get it idling happy. Now to get into nitty gritty and prepare for the first test drive.

So the last two days I've been sanding, sanding, sanding, on my stainless steel windshield trim. Wet sanding it all from 180, 320, 400, 600, and finally 1000 grit.
Then to my buffer to really bring out the shine.
Looking pretty good, not perfect, but about 1000% better than they were. Finally after finishing my paint job about 6 years ago, I'm going to get my windshield trim back on..
You can see in the pics what I started with compared to now.
Got one more piece to do, then hopefully snap it all back in place tomorrow.

And got my new steering wheel adapter mounted but not tightened down yet in case I need to adjust. The second new steering wheel will be here tomorrow, (first one was damaged). Should look sweet once it's on.
