Can the original disc brake master cylinder for a 69 Barracuda S car be used with rear disc brakes? If I remove the inline proportioning valve (using the available one piece rear brake line) I do not see any reason that it would not work. The dr. diff rear calipers would not require a large supply of brake fluid so the stock mc should work just fine. Right?

See what Doctor Diff suggests for a master cylinder, you want to match it with the brakes you are running. On my bracket car, I'm running Wilwood disc on all 4 corners with their proportioning valve with no problems & I can get it slowed down pretty quickly if needed.

Not sure if this helps but I am running the Factory M/C on a front disc 72 B-Body with added (97 Jeep Grand Cherokee) rear disc on 8.25 rear. I added a Summit prop valve and it has worked great. I didn't have one but have read that there is a restrictor in the rear orefice of the Disc/Drum M/C that you should remove.
Try it. Can always swap out later. I also wondered if you could remove the factory prop valve when using an adjustable. Why not?

IF you like the pedal feel it should work just fine. I think the 72-down disc cars have a valve to the rear after the distribution block?

Just got my rear set up from Dr Diff, Cass is great. Just email him. I had 73-up disc/drum on my car and am now all Dr Diff. Cass recommended buying a Drum/Drum Distribution block and replacing the disc/drum I have now. I have have an adjustable portioning valve and he suggested ditching that too. I've gutted proportion valves on Fox Mustangs and ran an adjustable to the rear and that worked fine. I figured id replace it with a distribution valve and pass the disc/drum off to someone who needs it.

I did exactly this on my 67 Dart "when it was running." Duster/ Demon front disk, and Ford/ Lincoln Versialles factory rear disk on Ford 9" axle. All I did was rupture the residual valve rubbers with a nail Used no prop valve, just the stock distro block and warning lamp switch
