I’m gonna be using an original LA front cover... the clearance issues I’ve read about are related to the rear of the cam gear against the block and not the cover.
Hopefully I’ll I’ll have an answer for us in a few weeks, in the meantime hopefully someone has had this experience as well.
I have also read that you can’t use a tensioner with an aftermarket chain, it will chew up the guides.
I think I saw it on here in an old post.
