Simple solution.

If you want to sell parts and someone offers up the payment plan, if they don't send a non refundable deposit and a DEFINITIVE drop dead date... DO NOT DO THE DEAL!!! PERIOD!
No BS excuses later on. I've had some very popular members ask me to hold parts and then saw them buy a part, listed after my stuff was posted and our deal struck, that I was also interested in within a few days... Yeah that's a deal breaker...

I usually go with "If I still have the part when you have the $ to complete the transaction in one go, great. If not, hope you find the part elsewhere." Not going to be a storage facility for someone so they can list the item elsewhere and turn me into a drop shipper. Yes, I got that one once too...

Cash and carry, this ain't the layaway store.

The bad side is you may have interested parties that go elsewhere because you decided to go with the payment plan. Sucks, but, post it up again move on. Store that in the noggin and don't do the same thing again.

And if you don't like the way he deals, don't sell to him. If he gets lippy on a private message, report it and we can deal with it. We as moderators will not get in the middle of a deal but we will not allow abuse.

When I have something that he is interested in he contacts me and asks if I will hold on to it until he receives his check and then he will mail me out a postal money order which I have done twice and both times everything went very smooth, no problems. I am holding that Energy Suspension front sway bar kit for him right now and when the money order gets here I will ship it out to him. He has never asked me to ship something to him before I received his money order. Rob does not have PayPal so he prefers to pay with a postal money order which I have no problem with at all, if it bounces then we are all in big trouble. If you can't afford to wait a while for the money then just say no. I will sell to Rob anytime if I have something that he wants, so far all my dealings with him have been just fine.

I have to add a little something here. On April 22nd Bigboy 68 told me he wanted to by some items from me, and if I would be so kind as to wait till May 12th when he gets his disability check he would send payment in full. Trying to help a brother out I said sure, I can wait till the 12th. I marked my items as "sale pending" and waited till May 12th. On the 12th Bigboy 68 sent me a pm, saying there would be a one week delay and the payment would go out on the 19th. Again trying to be nice I said "Ok Rob, thanks for letting me know". Well the 19th came and went and no contact. I sent a pm to Rob this morning asking, did you get paid, and did you send payment?
Bigboy 68 responded saying his unemployment check was delayed until Tuesday the 26th, and the money order would go out on Thursday the 28th.
In the mean time I noticed in some of the other for sale ads that Bigboy 68 was telling other people that he wanted to buy their stuff.

So my question for Bigboy 68 is this, is 66Cuda getting the money order that I was suppose to get on the 12th? Or is he getting the money order that I was suppose to get on the 19th? Or have you had 66Cuda waiting even longer that I have been so kind as to wait?
These are rhetorical questions, meaning I don't really expect an answer.

Bigboy 68, I'm not trying to be a dick here, but I have waited on two different payment dates, both of which have come and gone, it's been a month, and now you want me to wait longer.
I Will Not, our deal is off. As you said in an earlier post "this is America any anyone can change there mind for any reason". Well I've changed my mind and I have decided not to sell you my items.
 
What he doesn't understand is he is burning hies street cred on the best site around. I don't see a redo. Mods should monitor if he changes his name AGAIN!

the REAL kicker is when superfart426 is already trying to flip parts on eBay that he hasn't even paid for, or received , using the same pics that were used to advertise on this site. for double or triple the prices posted here. and this is AFTER all the poor me sob stories about how he can't afford to pay full price in one lump sum, but he REALLY needs the parts for his "project"

I agree and its unfortunate. I dont know the guy but I am a believer that everyone one has good in them. My wife says I'm gullible haha. I don't judge people or believe everything I hear but there is alot of bad word of mouth against this particular member. This is seriously like the 6th thread lol

Same routine, with me. I try to help people. Supposedly, gets a check on the 19. We will see if a money order comes, like he promised. I’m not going to bash him at this point. Just saying, same routine here to this point. My philosophy is, if anyone is willing to help you. You come through on your end of the bargain. Most people do live up to their end of the bargain.
As far as him reselling. I could care less. As long as I get what I wanted. I don’t think anyone else should be concerned with a person reselling either. That’s life.
That doesn’t make someone a bad person or a bad buyer.

First let me say that I try to see the good in every body. I for one have had many dealings with Rob. Most have gone smoothly. A couple of bumps in between. A couple of late payments, but I still have my parts and his cash till he finishes paying. He has made good on every deal. When I needed a 340 crank he stepped up and sent it and payed for the shipping even b4 I sent the stuff I traded to him. I will deal with him again if the need arises. I can tell u this that there are other members on here that are worse than Rob and have burned me and I won’t ever deal with them again. A couple are members in very good standing and looked up to. When I sell something, the part is not marked as sold until I see the money, and that would be the full amount. If someone wanted to buy something I had for sale, and they want to pay via a mail MO, that would be fine but the MO would need to go on the mail the next day at the latest. Part of the agreement is if I did not receive the MO by the agreed date, the part would be sold, if a second buyer stepped into the picture. That is fair to everyone.
For sellers that agree to take partial payments,, you are just enabling folks that are borderline able to make ends meet and do their hobby, make more poor decisions. Just say no.
Think about it. Are there any buyers that would be happy if the item they bought was delivered a piece at a time at a schedule convenient to the seller? No buyer would stand for that. So just don’t do that as a seller and the problem goes away.
 
Does he buy parts for cars he's building, or just to flip them on ebay? Bulldozer said he puts ads on ebay for parts he hasn't even paid for on this site yet???? And for 2-3 times the price? If that's true, wow - just wow! WTF is that about?

The only reason he's been doing this for so long is because people keep falling for his bs.

I guess. But when someone starts to make up bs sob stories and lying about why he needs the part and waiting for a "disibility check," that's crossing the line. Listing parts on ebay before he even pays for them on this site? Seriously? Are people that gullible to fall for this for so long?

I agree that if I'm working a deal either buying or selling it doesnt get marked as sold until money is in hand. As far as the mo being sent the next day that's preposterous. People have lives and jobs I work 12 hour days 6 days a week. If I make a deal tonight and the seller wants a money order I cant get to the post office to get it until my next day off! That maybe 4 or 5 days. If you want payment right away then you need to be more flexible and accept PayPal or some other electronic payment method there is dozens of reliable ones now. As for the payments. I am not a rich person and some weeks barely make ends meet. And that is absolutely insulting to say that making payments is enabling us to make bad decisions! I guess you have never financed a vehicle? Or got a mortgage or loan? I think as long as the buyer and seller agrees and the seller keeps the parts till its paid in full its not a issue. Like I said before I try to believe in the best in people. I think most people are genuinely good. Although there are some just rotten to the core.

I do accept Pay Pal, the next day MO was used as an example of a work around as some folks do not use Pay Pal. For those, the only way to protect their spot in line would be to have the MO in the mail the next day. I will make a note to never buy anything from Dartfreak75, your are saying that your life's is so busy you may not get to a PO or UPS store to ship a sold product for a week. As you can’t get to a bank or CU for a MO,,,How would you ever have time to ship ? And by the way, financing a car is much different than financing a 100.00 sale on FABO...Financing a house even more so.

Jesus Christ Bob, in case you didn't know, I have been a member here for damn near 10 years. I've been in the middle of these **** storms you've created. the fact is , you MOST DEFINITELY have sold parts through eBay that you've bought here. of course I didn't expect you to do anything more than lie about it. you want to buy **** here for cheap and flip it on eBay, that's your business. but when you ******* lie to people about your intentions, and when you make people feel sorry for you just to get a deal and a payment plan , then back out of other deals because a better opportunity came along, that's what makes you a real piece of ****.ive seen your adds on eBay with my own eyes, and have even posted links and pictures to prove it. and I'm not alone. you have just as many eBay user aliases as you have here, if not more. you just can't seem to do every body you deal with right, that is EXACTLY why these threads keep appearing. you just don't learn and have to keep on ******* somebody over who's trying to help you. you'll never figure that out ... obviously
