Stop in for a cup of coffee

We are doomed. went to the Amish market to get a few things, people around stands shoulder to shoulder, half with no masks on. Then the best was a Amish kid with a runny nose no mask on selling masks. Cant wait for it all to open up around here! Had to leave quickly for sure just not worth it.
Just came from Eastern York market. People doing what they are supposed to. And not too crowded.

60's safety PITA Ralph Nader didn't like the original 1967 wheel design. He was worried that in an impact wreck the horn tabs shown on the spokes in the wheel below would impale the driver. Chrysler got wind of Nader's concern, panicked, and quickly designed a wheel without tabs like I have. This new wheel was named the "recall wheel". There was never actually a recall, just a production change. Nader had power, never filed a complaint or law suit and got his way. This was in 1967 only and a $25 option. Most of these recall wheels were put on big block cars, both Dodge and Plymouth.

I still look for them. If I see one I'll give you a shout. The last one I got was shown in a pic of a parts car a guy was selling on FABO. He wouldn't pull it off, so I watched and figured out who bought it. I PM'd the buyer, and he sold it to me. He gave me a price that was too low, he didn't know its value. He's a great guy on this site always helping people. I gave him twice what he asked and he was taken back with my honesty. A few months ago I was looking for a window regulator and it had to be off a 67 convertible. He had a pair and sent them to me. I asked the price and he explained he'd gotten them for free, and wasn't charging me. It pays both ways.

We are looking at maybe crashing the Carlisle party as the boy is stationed at Ft Meade. Likely a game time decision. I would not bring a car, sole purpose in going would be to meet the North East mob of FABO. I have met a lot of the others and have always had a hoot. Guessing the “yanks” are the same! One thing for sure on this site, ya get what ya get. No one pretends to be something they are not.

When I changed to the larger throttle body I now get to fabricate a new CAI. I need to fabricate both a reduction in size and a thirty degree angle in the dangle to get it to fit. Total PITA. Once I get it welded out, and it fits , I will do cover passes to make it pretty then hydro dip it.

Cousins having a backyard get-together on Sunday. I stopped by my friend's poultry farm and got a bunch of eggs for myself and for my cousin's wife who is crazy for them. Decided to fill up the Fury while I was at it as it had been 250 miles since. I put a bottle of Lucas Octane Boost and to my surprise, I got over 1 mpg improvement. That offsets the cost a little along with stopping the ping I was getting at partial throttle when the engine is fully warm.

I'm not far, I'd cruise on over to meet you guys even if I wasn't going.

I have been selling and using that product for years, with Great results..........

Sooo looks like Carlisle is still on.....Who is planning on going???
Maybe. No, this isn’t a baiting thing. Guard is talking about suspending our two week training requirements for the year. It’s up to the Governor to decide. If they do, I’ll be looking to go. If not, I’ll likely need to link up with Tim’s delivery service again. With booze!

Saying goodbye to a friend today.. on to new friends.

Bummer

Cool and rainy here today. We got about an inch of rainfall. Glad I got the lawn fertilizer down in the front yard a week ago. It’s starting to green up nicely. Looks quite a bit different than it did this time last year when we had the new walk put in.

There are no dog spots... Is that what a yard is supposed to look like??

Looks great Dave!

Thanks! I used my old rule of fertilizer treatment using Scott’s lawn feed. The spreader chart says use setting 3.5 for broadcast rate so I upped it to 4.0 (12% more) and doubled the application by going over it twice. It’s damn near impossible to burn a lawn with that stuff and putting it down heavy makes all the difference. I put down about 2.5x what the instructions say.

Just looking at our weather update for the weekend. Was originally likely rain through much of tomorrow. At this point they have backed that off to early morning showers. Could actually be nice for the full 3 day weekend!
