Yep I did that a couple of times on the leaking ones... only problem is I didnt replace my lines from the MC to the proportioning valve... and the line that goes from the MC and feeds the rear brakes was leaking and the nut is stripped all to hell... I tightened it as much as I could with a set of pliers... it must have wiggled loose a little when attaching the other lines and the prop valve moving around.
Pliers? Never get it tight enough.
Do yourself a favour and buy a good flare nut wrench set. No more boogered nuts.
I do lots of hard line work,so for me snap-on was the way to go.
