What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Fuggit! A guy at work will just weld up the heat crossovers. Pulled the carbs off the B block manifold, and throwing it in the dishwasher tonight.

Looks like I need to buy some rebuild kits too.

Moved the demon out to clean the garage.

I have found that cars that sit too long in the same spot, easily become shelf space and that is the number one reason projects go cold. IMO.

I use the trailer to move cars anytime I need to move a non runner. At my size, I'm not going to be pushing a mammoth A body anywhere, so I let the machine do the work. The hardest part is setting up the ramps and the winch does all the work lol.

If an A body is a mammoth, what's your Fury?
:poke:

When I was building my "decoy" 67 GT down at my equipment shop there was an incline going in to the bay where the lift was. I took an old power steering pulley and bracket and redheaded it to the floor on the back wall. I had a spool of winch cable so I put a hook on each end and stretched it under car to backhoe and to back of car. I could just back up and pull car right into bay.

Motor's in, time to get everything connected! Eager to get this car back on the road, I haven't driven it since last July.

I made some spacers for the motor mounts out of 5/16" plate to keep the headers off of the tie rod ends. They seem to work, at least when the car isn't moving....

Finished polishing up my stainless windshield trim and got it installed. The polish job looks ok, but not real happy about the way the trim fits. Seems to snap down tight in some areas, and not so much in others, but it looks better with trim installed.
10 years without trim is long enough....lol

I, uh, put LED bulbs in for my turn signals and backup lights.... Id post a picture, but it would seem kind of anti climatic compared to the previous posts...

Did you have to add the clips, or were they already there? I’m wondering how the clips attach, because I’m missing a few.

So I got popped by a seller in Maryland. A motor that was suppose to be ready to go is anything but.... Leakdown is bad one one cylinder and real bad on another.... Seemed like an honest guy but far from it. I have enough written info from him that he can compensate me for what I actually have or a judge will decide the fate of this one...

Anyhoo it's been a while since I broke this out. Gotta figure out my compression and get it back to where I should have been last friday lol....

All finished up with the signal switch swapover...

Pain in the ***, but all turn signals work, it fixed my faulty right rear running light, and all my marker lights work now.

Totally worth the pain.

Gonna take her out for a nice Friday night cruise around town...

Finished cleaning FINALY also finished all the under carriage and wheel wells with por15. Just need to shoot the primer in the engine bay.

Today I got done prepping the engine bay for painting. It’s still cool in the garage, so I’m Dutch ovening the engine bay. I stuck a small radiant heater in there, tossed a blanket on top, and heating it up for tomorrow. I’ve got pics... too lazy to get them right now.

Tomorrow, we paint!

Nothing like getting her out to stretch her legs after being on the fritz for a few weeks...

I hopped in the car this morning to go grab a coffee from Tim Horton's. 140 miles and 3 hours later I got home. The car ran great but if I had brought some tools with me I would have pulled a couple degrees of timing out of it at my first stop. What a great way to spend a Saturday morning!
