Hey gang.

I bought a FirmFeel idler bearing kit for my '65 Barracuda. I don't see how it's supposed to fit when installed and apparently nobody at FF owns a camera. Has anyone here with an Early A installed one? I'd live to see it in place.

They reference a magazine article but that's for a later A-body with the idler mounted "upside down" from the Early A.

Thanks.

I just put one on my 66 a couple of weeks ago. I will grab you a picture tomorrow.

Here you go. What I did was mount the studs in the k frame and in the drag link then slid the idler arm and bushings onto the studs then installed lock nuts to just enable a bit of drag.

Wow!

That answers a pile of questions! Thank you very much.

Huh. I guess what part of my confusion was is that I think I have the wrong idler. Notice how the larger side of your idler mounts to the frame. The bend on my idler is exactly the opposite, with the smaller side mounting to the frame. And the bend isn't steep enough so the idler-to-centerlink connection will bump into the torsion bar. Thanks ebay!

No problem

Yes, I think you have an early B body idler arm there.
