This morning around 11am, after getting to the lake kinda late, 5 minutes later I caught the biggest largemouth bass of my life. Measured 19-1/2" and weighed 4lbs.
Last photo shows it lying on a 16"cookie sheet with three inches of tale hanging off the end.

Ate good last night. A little creole seasoning and some bread crumbs. Fried up in a little olive oil.
Yummm, and I have enough bass in the freezer now for another meal.

2661-

GREAT shot.

How many emotions at the same time, caught on film?

This was at my Father-in-Law's funeral. He was a WWII vet. Died at the age of 101 just about a year ago.

Squirrels are destructive little varmints. Devastated my garden; plucked tomatoes and didn't even eat them; chewed the lead flashing around roof vents; chewed the plastic knobs on my grille, etc. etc. I had enough, so jokingly, I devised the "trap" pictured below, and posted it as my latest invention.

In the meantime, I nailed a cob of dried corn to a tree just outside my shop's office, cracked the window and waited for a squirrel to show up. I began popping an average of 1 per morning with a .22 loaded with rat shot.

When I started posting the pics of the deceased varmints, my daughter was amazed that the trap actually worked.:rofl:
I never told her differently.
