Squirrels are destructive little varmints. Devastated my garden; plucked tomatoes and didn't even eat them; chewed the lead flashing around roof vents; chewed the plastic knobs on my grille, etc. etc. I had enough, so jokingly, I devised the "trap" pictured below, and posted it as my latest invention.

In the meantime, I nailed a cob of dried corn to a tree just outside my shop's office, cracked the window and waited for a squirrel to show up. I began popping an average of 1 per morning with a .22 loaded with rat shot.

When I started posting the pics of the deceased varmints, my daughter was amazed that the trap actually worked.:rofl::rofl:
I never told her differently.
