360 power steering pump interference in 69 Cuda

More pictures of the interference.

The first picture has my original Saginaw pump on the left with my original ps hose from the 69 setup.

To the right is another Saginaw pump with the newer style reservoir. The pump outlet is in the same spot on both. As I understand the Saginaw pumps are the same, just the reservoirs are different. Both of these are bolt on pulley type.

I think I have established that the Saginaw pumps are the same across at least the 68-72 years, so that is not my problem. Correct me if I am wrong.

The next two pictures are of the interference with the pump and line from the first picture. The pump itself moves freely throughout its entire adjustment travel without the hose. When the hose is on, it isn’t even close. The hose hits on the both the motor mount stand and the brace that runs forward from it.
