Hi all. If someone had the more lift magnum valve springs P4876062 (rated for up to 600 lift) and they run a hydraulic roller camshaft with 520 lift, will these valve springs still work? Ideally the smaller P5249464 springs would be better since they are rated for up to 525 lift.

Ask this question because I am having a hard time finding seat pressure and spring rate info between the 2 different valve springs. They are both a single spring with damper. So in order for the one to allow up to 600 lift it must have more seat pressure right? which probably wont work for a 520 lift hydraulic roller camshaft??

I had Dwayne of Porter Racing Heads install a set of 6062 springs in my EQ heads that I needed redone for a stroker 318/390 LA-based roller engine. Here is what he told me "the springs, retainers and locks fit perfect and at 1.630 installed height. I have coil bind after 1.300 travel so plenty of room for cam lift of .524". Spring rates are 130 lbs closed and 325 lbs open which good for the Lunati cam per their tech people. After the completion of the heads these were the final specs: springs are 1.57 final installed height, spring pressure is 155lbs closed and 320 lbs open. I am using Sealed Power Magnum replacements lifters and Mopar factory replacement rockers for a Magnum, etc. I haven't fired her up yet. Also here is an article that may help you decide as well : The Forgotten Valve Spring | Mopar Magazine
