That will be a little bit. The back story is I bought a motor and when I popped a valvecover off I saw the casting #915. I immediately contacted the seller and he assured me they were X heads.
So why didn't I just identify the head by the X. He said they were on his show car and they ground the outside of the heads smooth and the markings were gone. And yes the castings were smoothed. And no a 915 is not an X head number. He's the expert selling it so he can deal with it.....
Oh I blame myself for getting sucked in. There is no other excuse. However I paid good market value for the deal and the owner seemed honest. But he's gonna have to make it right or walk away scott free and that will be determined by someone who drops the Gavel. Fine with me....
