Coolest username contest

View attachment 1715527996 @RustyRatRod. Did someone say falcon? I have em all, 2 darts, 2 fords and a Chevy. The falcon is one of my favorites. And RRR gets my vote for best user name. Only because it seems to match his personality well. @turbofreek is my second vote because if I could I would steal his name. Have to think about the third one.

i was geeked about turbos way back when. that is why it is spelled with 2 ee's instead of ea. ive had this user name since 2002ish across the net on car forums.
thank you for the honorable mention. i am humbled.

Funny you say that because in the beginning of my car obsession.... in the very beginning I almost went ford. I was very close to buying a really cool maverick.

I ended up buying a duster instead, my very first duster which was a 74.

I think the maverick was a 71 and they were almost the same price. My dad said either car was good but I think I went with the duster because I grew up around my dad's cuda which is a 69 A56 340/4 speed that he bought as a used car in 1972.

I never forgot that maverick and it would have opened a new world. Ford is my absolute second choice, I really like ford products, even their newer offerings, except the gay *** new electric mustang SUV they are talking about, ewww.
For me my second choice was AMCs, the only thing tougher to build than a Mopar... Guess I'm just a glutton for punishment. Had a couple cool ones; Jeeps, the obligatory Gremlin (didn't everybody have one at one time?) and a '79 Spirit AMX 4 spd. with a swapped in 401- jeez, that one was fun.

I got into FSJs for a short time. I had a 78 and 86 wagoneer and grand wagoneer. I really like those but you can't get a manual transmission in the later ones like that. I should have kept the 86 and built what they should have.

Oh well, I sold the jeeps when i got into mopar station wagons :p

Javelin for sale not too far from me keeps tempting me.....

I don't browse for projects... Projects find ME...! (More often than they should, I might add)
How do you do that? Haha I have never been lucky at finding deals I have found a few good deals PM parts and stuff but never on cars. I always see on YouTube and stuff I I found this super solid complete project for 350 bucks. I'm just like how? Haha I never see a classic car in any kind of shape for cheaper than 3000 dollars haha. I thought I found a deal back in the late fall early winter. I found a 64 dart 2 door slant 6 complete for 600 bucks. I got to talking to the guy and was gonna trade him a four wheeler. Until I went and looked at the car. Omg it was terrible. Someone had busted out the front glass and windshield and it sat like that for the last 30 years lol there was nothing on the car that's wasnt completely rotted. I was thinking hey for 400 it may would be a parts car. Even tho I hate parting out cars but as I was looking around I couldn't find a single good part everything was rusted or ruined.

There's a few AMC bodies (Javelins) just east of Albuquerque, right off I40

Did we finish this thread yet or am I dragging up a rusted car out of the river with this
