Hello I have a stroked full roller 360 418 cu 515 hp w/567 torque I did not want a electric fuel pump so builder told me to go with the m6270 carter with 1/2 in. Fuel line and 1/2in. Fuel outlet at the gas tank so the pumps inlet and outlet I cannot find the connection's here is a picture I would like recommendations on what fuel line and where do you find a 1/4in. Male to a female flare with a 1/2 fuel connection thanks

ok, first off, where in the system do you want to use the 1/4 to 1/2?

the proper way to do this is at the tank, replace the fuel sending unit with one that is 1/2 inch right from the get go
the good news is, this is a 30 minute job
the bad new is NO ONE makes em with the proper configuration, so your fuel gauge will be off

(there are a few people who rebuild/modify OEM senders, so that might be a fun winter project)

OER MF259: Fuel Tank Sending Unit 1963-74 Mopar A-Body | JEGS

then you want to run a full 1/2 inch line from the sending unit to the pump
you need to decide if you want a hard line like stock, or run a "flexible" line

i just replaced the one on my duster with a 3/8 preformed line BUT i couldnt get it snaked in so i ended up cutting and splicing it

depending on what you decide, you need to find a fitting into the pump, simple enough
this
Straight Adapter 8 AN to 1/4 NPT Fitting Black HIGH QUALITY! | eBay

or this
Brass Hose Barb 1/2" x 1/4" NPT Male Pipe Thread Straight Fitting | eBay

then you got to run a line to a regulator and the carb
i would suggest braided -8 AN
same fitting as i allready posted

so all you need to decide is, do i want hard line or not?
and dead head or return style?

Hi yes I already have the sending unit with the 1/2 in. Outlet I would like to use a braided line but will these barbed fittings get a good seal with clamps

Everything I posted would be to go (3-4") 1/2" fuel hose from sender to 1/2" steel or alloy fuel line up to frame rail next to Fuel pump then 1/2" fuel hose to Barb fitting in fuel pump. Then Flared fitting from Fuel pump to Steel line up to fuel filter before carb. On the ends of the steel line from sender up to fuel pump I make a -small -double flare on each end to prevent hose from coming off plus 2 clamps each end.
Braiding an AN fittings is a different animal. I'm a low budget guy so I did both my Darts this way but used Aluminium tubing which some guys don't like with todays fuel.

Also I'm old school and don't believe in compression fittings on fuel line. At least the old brass ones. But some of today's AN fittings are compression style and are commonly used.

except you switched the numbers in post #4
you went from 1/2 pipe to 1/4 tube

I'm a little confused here . I understand the 1/2" fuel line . I don't understand why the adapter to 1/4". If you wish to retain the factor tank outflow fitting right away you are restricting flow . NOw , if you are using a mechanical fuel pump with 1/4npt fittings , that is another restriction . You're not gaining anything . There isn't enough flow to feed the beast . 3/8" line all the way will do it .

the 1/4 NPT is the threads in the fuel pump
it sounds like the OP had replaced the fuel sending unit with a 1/2 unit allready, so the pump is the main restriction
