Thanks for all the help these past years...Just awaiting the seat belts and I'll finish the interior installation an get a road test for the first time in two years!! Thanks again. :)

Great looking '62 !! On the smoking resistor/non functioning ammeter. You can remove the three gauge cluster and simply join the two ammeter wires together to complete the electrical circuit. Because they are "hot" you'll have to insulate this connection to prevent any contact with metal nearby. If doing this stops the excessive heat (some heat in resistor is normal) and smoking of the resistor it says the ammeter gauge is internally damaged. While out I'd test the circuit board holding these three gauges. After 60 years they can be troublesome but have recently learned it is possible to restore function to them.

Thanks! I have installed a new gauge...all good now! Thanks again for the advice.
 
If your ammeter needle moves toward the charge side with lights on and engine off, you have to wires reversed. It should show discharge under those conditions.
 
Love it! Congratulations that is a beautiful car! That interior is perfect !
 
Your car & hyperpak's car would look really good sitting side by side at a Mopar show.
