Don't work. I have constant power at the connector, don't know if I should. Not the flasher as I have three that work. Should I have constant power at the connector ?.......You think it's the switch ?? Any way to check.

Let's start with "what are we workin on?" 'Cuz, yep, it does matter

I have switched over to these flashers. They have an adjustable flash duration. But they do quit every other year or so. So I keep spares here

If you go to the LED lights, the power level used by the lights is not large enough to operate the old time flashers

Yes you should have constant power to the flasher.

Did the flashers ever work

What have you done to the car lately

Do your turn signals work
Do your brake lights work
Do your parking lights work
Did you switch over to LED bulbs

Next, "what connector? You are saying "the connector" I have no idea what connector you are talking about

HERE IS HOW this works

You have two flashers. The turn flasher is powered by a circuit through the key, so it's not live full time

The hazard flasher is supplied full time power so it should be always hot. The hazard system depends on the TS switch being in neutral, and YOUR FOOT OFF THE BRAKE.

The hazard switch has 4 terminals. When off they are all isolated. When engaged, all 4 are jumpered together 1 pin of the hazard switch receives power from the hazard flasher

When engaged, the hazard switch is then connected to the remaining 3 hazard switch terminals. They are
1...left front turn
2...right front turn
3...brake switch wire going into the TS switch

So this switch simply routes hazard flasher power to the 3 points of the TS switch that will then feed power to all 4 corners

Light green (LGN) and Tan (T) feed off to the left and right turn signal lines
White (W) is going to the brake switch input
Red is power coming from the flasher

New car, don't know if they have ever worked, turn signals, all parking lights work. Brake lights were not working so I put in a brake light switch today and brake lights now work, but still no 4 ways.. No led lights.
Connector I'm talking about that is always hot is the one that the hazard flasher plugs into. I get the brake pedal cancels the hazards.

I have 3 wires going into the brake light switch. Two I think are pink going into one connector and another wire also plugged into switch, the same with the flasher connector.

Time to pull out the hazard switch and check it out, I'd say. One terminal of the switch should come alive when you step on the brake. One should flash when left turn. One other shouldl flash when in right turn. And one should be always hot, and go cold when you pull out the hazard flasher.

You need to go to Classiccarwiring. Com and buy a wiring diagram for your car

I have the '68 manual, but it doesn't tell me what the problem is. It has to be the switch, I'm pulling the gauges out soon to rebuild them anyway. I can check the switch then. Taking it for inspection tomorrow and wanted to get them working, but I think the guy will pass it anyway.

I understand but with the electrical diagram at least you will have the ability to trace out wires and see where the fault lies. No book can tell you if this doesn't pfoblem, this is the problem.
