I just got a call from one of my kids' friends and she told me that they have closed our local mall due to the protesters are going there now...
That's too close to home for me to be comfortable...

Have they gotten violent there? Many of the protests have remained peaceful, but I can see why a mall would not want to chance it. Lot of businesses have been trashed when **** gets out of hand.Holy crap!!!

Not sure, the friend told me that she's at the Sam's Club on the other side of town and they are starting to "brace for the crowd" and closing things over there JIC....
I managed to throw all plans for the day by leaving the jeep's key on yesterday for a couple hours. Coil made it home but the primary failed I guess when it cooled. And the front tire was flat - screwed.
Put the spare tire on.
Now to get a bicycle appropriate for the trip to get a spare coil from the garage where I work on the cars.
Will have to make that trip in the AM.

Duct tape is good,..... and classic.
Maybe you should try flex tape just to make sure it stays on. Duct tape gets crappy in sunlight you know.
Vinyl siding,3 rows on one wall done. Tyvec and j channel is time consuming.
Stepped off ladder,left foot started to roll, i basically had to tumble. Almost put myself out if business. Missed it by that much!
Steel toe work boots,properly laced. Thats what saved me. Im sure of that.

Watching a Target store in Philly being looted right now on TV. Be careful out there...

Apparently we are only hearing a small part of what went on last night. The Target they showed in Philly had plywood over some of the front openings, so assuming it was already damaged and maybe repaired earlier today? Saw same thing on a clip of a liquor store being looted in South Carolina.
Do you mean 'already' in terms of time of day? Does seem to get worse after dark and with some of the largest groups to date out there protesting right now, I suspect tonight will be bad. On the other hand -as you mentioned- There are probably a lot more NG in place to get involved tonight.

Yes, normally, at least in past riots and even last night, dusk thru about 1230 seems to be when things get really ugly. Normally the looting doesn’t start until the sun is setting
I don't think it has stopped from previous days...but seems they still prefer the overnight. I guess the worst of them slept in after their previous nights work.
I think that's the crowd they were just showing on FOX. Now they just said 'unconfirmed' that a semi truck had plowed into a crowd. Don't know if it was THAT crowd or somewhere else...
