Ok so they did offer a 4 speed for a slant six abody. I wonder why there were only 67 of this car made as he claims?
Yes I know the difference between Hurst and Hertz, but Hertz did contract with certain auto makers to have a limited amount of certain sports cars made for advertisement and rentals for their company. I can think of one such car was a 65 mustang in black with gold strips and a single seat roll cage. They made only 12 of that particular car. I assumed he was saying the same thing of this dart! Seeing he claims that it was one of 67 made! You're confusing Hurst with Hertz. Hurst (formerly Hurst/Campbell) was/is a supplier of aftermarket (and some OE) automotive equipment, and some specialty manufacturing/assembly (Hemi Darts/Barracudas, Chrysler 300Hs, etc.).
Hertz rents cars.

So Im looking for the needle in the hay stack? In 1965 the 225 was the only slant engine available with the 4 speed. A total of 1019 went out the door with the 4 speed. The Dart wagon and 270 Wagon had the least number with the 4 speed - 16 each; the sLant GT hardtop had the most - 659.
