Ask him which end the distributor is on and where the valve cover hold down bolts are. If he says the spark plug wires go into the valve covers :eek: .. Get your butt over there :lol:

already did, distributor on the front, no spark plugs in the valve covers. I'm guessing 383, which was pretty common in that year/model.
