Hello i recently have been trying to get my rear right quarter window out but it seems the bolt has snapped. This car is a restoration build with my dad and I and i checked the manual but it has not been much help. The window moves back and forth when all the way up, and i don't know if i need a special bolt to replace it or how to get it out with this broken bolt. Any help will be appreciated.
Thank You!

Been a while since I replaced rollers on mine. Two bolts hold glass to regulator. IIRC, the regulator has to be in a certain up or down location to access one of those bolts. I think bolts have a cup washer and fiber washer. It may be easier to remove front track to remove glass. It was a puzzle to me until I worked thru first one. You are right, manual is not much help. Just wish I could remember steps precisely.

Thank you very much @etngeorge, @ScamperTom. It's ok about the steps I will give it a try, a lot better than anything I have already tried. Also I have not seen this article either so thank you, much appreciated for the help.

Does anyone know where we can get this bolt that snapped circled in above pictures and special felt washer. I’m assuming it’s a specially shaped bolt but perhaps not?
Thanks
Greg

Put up a "Wanted" post here, I'm sure someone has the bolt you are looking for.

my dart had same issue . I drilled out the bolt while the regulator was out and used a larger self tapping bolt.

That might work but I’m missing the rubber or felt washer.

I will put up a parts wanted as suggested unless someone else replies with a source. thks

Himmm,
Nice, assortment appreciate the pictures . That 2nd picture I circled in red might be what I'm after but I have never taken one out so I don't know what the bolt and felt/rubber washer are supposed to look like. I guess I could pull out my good one from the other window to know for sure.

There are several new felt/rubber washers in there .
This is leftover parts from my window rebuild.
PM me your address and I will send whatever you can use .

You can buy cupped bolts at McMaster.com that's where I bought mine for this purpose. They have just about any bolt to suit your needs. Also, note keep those original mopar door lock cylinder retainer clips, the aftermarket ones are not spring steel, they are too thick and they fail...don't ask me how I know that, I just pulled my interior door trim and replaced them with NOS mopar clips.

Other side snapped to when I tried, the bottom bolt going thru glass.

A cupped bolt, never heard of that. The metal washer around the bolt which seems integral is curved so that makes sense. Any idea the size you ordered and length?

I went to the hardware store and bought large rubber washers. I drilled and tapped the threads. Use rubber washer on both sides of glass. use 3/4" long bolt with fender washer
