Without the “deadline”, there’s less drama. .

I always call this "fake drama" I pretty much refuse to watch ANY of this so called reality crap.

I did "get into" Ice Pilots when it showed up ......free.....on Roku. I don't / refuse to pay for TV cable. Even that show is pretty damn irritating. Wonder how many other former employees of theirs died young form being ate up and spit out?

According to the latest update that I saw on YouTube, they are planning to use different pushrods, change the intake gaskets and haul it back to Nick's and re-dyno it. Any guesses to what's gonna happen?? Lol

with all the money they have waisted on fuel , expenses and dyno time they could have at least started with a clean block. I would like to know how many hundreds of dollars they have pissed away just fuckin around

UTG is looking for redemption!!!

DY-NO!!

DY-NO!!

DY-NO!!
i want it taken to 6200 rpm on the dyno see what happens .hope uncle tony put it together with a bit more care this time .Think i'll calll and ask that they really test the build , 6200 is reasonable , it should hold together or not

I hope it does well. I'd like to see a very basic dirt road 318 build make it's mark.

What did it make before? 226 or something?
I don’t see pushrods picking it up 100hp.

Wasn’t there some talk that the cam went bad?
Or did they check that when the intake came back off.

Ive told this story 100 times but one more couldn't hurt.. long ago I had a 318 short block, re man'd new that I actually found in junked project truck in the wrecking yard... clean fresh bores and pistons .020..it was cobbled .020 steel crank and pressed 360 rods.
.At the time I was a 340 die hard and 318's were like slants to me...I left bagged on a stand in my front yard under a tree for a year or so....in between builds I realized I needed it for service. At rhis point it had some pitting in one cylinder from condensation being outside...so I sand papered it out...crank had some mild rust spots smoothed with a light file...lol... 340 cam and 234 heads. Stock valve gear and push rods ...still runs great and will buzz over 5500 all day. You really gotta **** something up with these things.lol
If anything was machined...there would be a deduction of tolerances. The block, heads milled make a .039 gasket addition more like .030 , more when the block is slanted off to one end...simply cause you have to cut more to get it straight. Point is his pushrods wouldn't be .100 too short...
That same motor had the bypass stick on the pump and only put out 20psi one day... till i free revved it 6000 rpm and it cleared the **** right out.. lol i didnt give a fk about it. Like i said.. you really have to go something up bad on these things.

His update mentioned the cam was fine, just the pushrods were to short. UTG is totally confident that all the oil pressure loss was because of the pushrods. Where is my popcorn.....

If you pause the video when they show the computer screen after the pull........ looks like the big number was
231.7@4500.
That was the first pull after the cam break in, with the bigger carb.

I thought maybe it made a little more with the smaller carb on the second pull.

Where's the link for the update? J.Rob

He just did a live feed about it. I’m still hoping he figures it out and gets a good 250hp or better. Not sure how much life is left in it, but I’ll say if he can get at least two summer seasons beating the crap out of then it’s a win.

1hour and 32 min? I don’t think so. I scanned thru.
Unless they've done something on the bottom end to fix the low oil pressure, the results won't be much different....unless it blows! Longer push rods aren't going to raise it much, if any.

7grand folks.
That's what 7 grand gets ya over there..

No wonder they send it all the way over here. Thanks UTG!

I like how Toni can't keep his own junk running to get to the track, two break downs at the same time! Of course he feels the need to show it live. He builds junk, drives junk and lives junk.

Can't stand 2 minutes of that guy banging on about meaning less crap let alone 1 1/2 hours of it, I have time on my hands but not for that ****.
