I`m even gettin the small block/trickflow bug , and aint even got a car to put it in , or a place to build it !!
Me personally, not at all.. While I'm convinced there a superior product in most every way, I'm not convinced of the bang for the buck..
I'm hoping @69lead comes to the track one day and I can pull out a can of whoop-*** with my Speedmaster heads LOL.. and if he even thinks of getting close I'll just push the button and let him see my tail lights LOL...

From where I sit, swapping to those heads is a wash for the absolute grand total I have in my W5’s. By there numbers, they should perform very well.

As long as your power to weight is in your favor, you’ll do fine. Doing more with less has been my life long bain.

He’s working on it. I know he’s been way too busy lately to get all his crap done doing work for other people. I still have to get back over there and touch up his carb tune.

Tune as you may and tune as you might, but he'll surely say wow his tail lights are bright!!..:D..
 
I made it to the track this weekend with my Valiant wagon that has a 408 with Trick Flow heads. It was a struggle and never made a clean pass. It went 6.57 @ 104.5 mph. Race weight is 3450 and was thru the exhaust. Will need to work on the fuel and ignition problems and get it back to the track. Hopefully the weather will be better the next time too. It 92 degrees and very humid.

Impressive. Average CFM under the curve is 196cfm. While the higher lift number is better my edelbrocks only have a 276cfm peak but average 192cfm.

I myself am completely un concerned of the average flow area under the curve. Meaningless to me. I look at individual flow data at there lift points. Then I can compare. The area under curve is charted and drawn to give a visual of what’s going on. For me, seeing this is of the most important things I can do for myself while looking at head flow.

FWIW, this head kills my W5’s low lifts.
But I am moving a larger column of air through a larger port window with more cross section.

Looks like I might be hauling the 75 Duster up there for the bracket race....a friend wants to race his 69 440 Dart C/SA....will know on Wednesday if it is a go...
 
We adjusted the valve lash yesterday and when we were just about done I noticed I forgot to take out the inner springs....oops. That wouldn't have been a good cam break in experience. Decided to do a solid once over of everything else and then noticed the cam retainer bolt with the hole in it was in the wrong spot. I never would have known if it weren't for all the good "how to" articles on this site.
 
Okay. Finally got my Trick Flow head 394 Dakota to the track for some test runs. Damn Covid!!!
It went 6.64 at 101 mph in the 1/8 mile.
The Dakota race weight is 3710lbs with me in it. I'm 180lbs.
I'm happy. I think 6.64 calculate to 10.50's in the 1/4 mile.
Engine specs are:
394 CI
3.79 stroke Mopar forged crank. Eagle H beam rods.
4.070 bore Weisco flat top pistons
Trick Flow 190 CC heads
Lunati flat tappet solid lift cam .581 int .601 exh
M1 intake
Com Cam magnum 1.5 roller rockers
950 carb
No hood scope and thru exhaust.

What sort of duration is the flat tappet cam on the inlet / exhaust if you dont mind me asking?
