Insurance Co. says car must be in a locked garage

Most of you have some kind of classic car insurance, and the rates are very reasonable.

I have an old Plymouth, in a locked garage, and one under a carport behind a locked gate. Both have been insured for several years.

I recently bought a beater 64 Sport Fury, but I will have to park it outside (I was afraid this might be a problem). I called about getting insurance, and now they say they won’t even allow the car in the carport. The insurance is through Heacock Classic Insurance.

I’m not really concerned about the cost of the cars, but I need liability to drive. I can understand the insurance’s company point of view, but I’m more concerned with a low-cost alternative for me. Any ideas? Do you guys put all your old cars in a locked garage?
