Insurance Co. says car must be in a locked garage

I tried to get everything I own under one insurance company a while back and since my house and regular cars are with State Farm it seemed like the place for my toys. They required photos of each vehicle and photos of the cars in their storage spot. The lady I was dealing with told me the cars could only be used for parades, car shows and organized sanctioned or club events. When I asked her if I could drive one to get breakfast on a sunny Sunday morning or a quick trip to the parts store she told me "only parades, car shows and organized sanctioned or club events. No regular personal use." I kind of pressed her on that so she phoned the State Farm Collector Car expert and had me ask him on speaker phone. He told me that if I had a claim and could not produce documentation that I was going to, coming from or attending a parade, car show, organized cruise etc. it would probably be considered personal use and the claim would likely be denied. So much for that idea! I use Hagerty now and they seem pretty good. No claims yet (knock on wood) but others I know have had claims handled to their satisfaction. I did have to provide the storage location for each car when I signed them up.
