Motor mount options

I’d try to figure out what broke that stud. Those things are pretty bulletproof.

If you use an engine plate you’ll need to get some kind of fore/aft engine limiters on it. The transmission mount won’t be enough. Room is at a premium trying to fit engine limiters correctly in there.

Something had to load that stud to make it fail. Once the nut is torqued the stud is in tension on acceleration. I suppose at some point the nut could have been over tightened and it failed over time.

Me personally, if I have the option I run solid mounts. If you have a spool Mount K member you are pretty much stuck with Poly mounts. In fact, I’m changing out the spool Mount K member on my 73 Dart Sport because I detest not being able to use a solid mount. Especially with a clutch. You can feel the engine moving.
