JW,. That was an awesome video. That dude was calm considering the pilot died and the plane was accending on its own through 17,000 feet!!! Oh, and his wife and kids are on the plane!!!

During my service in the Air Force I had an incentive flight on a T-37. The pilot let me fly it for awhile and do an aileron roll. It was awesome!! Also flew in a T-38 simulator twice. These things are huge with hydraulics that give you the feeling of really flying.

Watching this guy fly and land the King Air the way he did makes me want to get my private pilot's license!!!

Thank you. I watched the instruments most of the way through; seemed to show the actual flight parameters.

Been in one emergency situation flying .... this presentation brought back the same tensions, and the same relief to get on the ground and reflect and be thankful.
 
Landing planes is easy. I've been doing it since I was a kid. The little screen tells you what to do but you really just have to match the numbers.

Well, we should have 12 year old airline pilots then! ha!

this is the second time I have watched this reenactment. I am a rotor wing guy getting my private pilot license right now. It would be overwhelming going from a Cessna 172 to that thing. With no experience with modern equipment......
He did a great job.
