Tattoos

My grandfather had a 48-star US flag on one forearm and a scantily clad gypsy dancing girl on the other forearm. He got them when he lied about his age to join the Army so he could be in the Spanish-American War. He loved the US and the flag, but he regretted his tattoos.

After the Army sent him home for fraudulent enlistment, he began a lifetime in law enforcement. He could never wear a short-sleeve shirt - had to keep them hidden.

However, he did have one good thing to say about tats - “They sure make it easy to positively ID someone.”
