Du to Covid-19, I expected a few sales, because of lost off work etc. -- That has not happened, and it's a good thing that Guys, and Gals have hung on to their passion. -- Not many good things have come out of this situation.
 
I agree. I'd think people would be having fire sales to scrape up rent but not really. Good for most, bad for deal seekers.
 
My car would be the last thing to go... You can live in your car, but you can't drive a house to work.
 
Had the wife for 47 years and had the car for 45. Can't part with either now!
 
I have more than enough but I’ve seen some real arm twisters on the Facebook groups. If I was rich instead of good looking I would build a new, bigger shop.
 
I feel very blessed right now. I have work, good work and making money. I know a lot of people who are without work and don’t have a Penney to pee on. Sometimes it’s all about choices too. Are you prepared for situations? To the younger guys and gals out there... stick a few bucks away every week in the draw. It adds up quick. Don’t over spend or “keep up with the Jones” Apple is NOT your friend. They just want you addicted to technology. Invest in things IF you need to sell or trade, you can. Try to position yourself to be self sufficient and not dependent on others. Life is good even during the worst of times. Believe in something. For me it’s GOD. For you, it can be what ever works for you. Don’t believe everything you read or are told. The internet is not always right.

Bought a house in Tustin Meadows in 68. Off Redhill ave.
Love to visit California ! I was born there.

Yup, we spoke earlier. Good times. Still stunk over there before i left. Beer was still .25 if you gave the bottle back. 20 Peso to the dollar. Damn, I miss thay place sometimes...stay safe everyone. Wear a Condom on your head!
 
Last Friday I drove my car to the machine shop that did the rings and bearings in my 5.9. I wanted him to see and hear the engine running.

He had engines and heads sitting ALL over the shop. It's a large shop so he has a lot of work sitting around.

He told me he has never been busier than he is now!! He even looked haggered. He attributes it to stimulus money and time for people to work on their cars. I'm happy for him!

My machinist is in the same boat - pulled the trigger on a 440 build thinking I was doing him a favor and giving him business during a slow time and he said it'll be a while as he has a crazy amount of jobs lined up -- The short block is done and just waiting for me to go pick it up
