Do the converter bolts have a thick head? I would inspect the clearance between the block edge and the bolt heads too see how much room you have. I did trans overhauls at a dodge dealer for 25 years and we had issues with those covers rubbing with everything stock. I would flatten it out and rework it as needed so it clears.
