The hypocrisy is sickening. Here in Pittsburgh, Kennywood Amusement park opens 7/11. That's ok, but a Carlisle show is not? I'm so sick of these politicians who act like they're my mommy and daddy.

The idiot governor of Pa, Tom Wolfe, protested with thousands without a mask, however, you can't go to Carlisle without one.

I was there all day today. They ask you to wear one when you come in. I saw people wearing them and people not. Some vendors did and some didn't. No nazi mask police, no bitching about people not wearing them or not... was much like a normal Carlisle. Much less people and vendors but it was Thursday.
Me, I didn't wear one. My choice.

And Peduto marching with the protesters (rioters).
Maybe it was him burning Police cars.

I respectfully disagree with you. If they are THAT concerned, why are they at ANY public gathering?
I work at a dealership, & now since PA's mostly"green" the masks are optional,...unless a customer's in the shop, or states They wish the Tech to wear one while servicing Their vehicle. That doesn't protect Me, & the people I care about & associate with,....namely My mid-70's parents(both in relatively good health,...but),& My lady-friend with marrow cancer..multiple bypasses & an amputated leg, Who is going to be on a chemo-drug the rest of Her life!!! Her immune system is depressed, & She relies on Me for many things, I am always concerned I will bring it to them..THAT'S THE POINT! They aren't attending these events, but I & folks like Me would like to, & attitudes like Yous is why many of Us will not,...Thanks......

Woof & Padoody, typical do as We say not as We do.......& just ignore if rioting, thx!

Killer6, My advice to you would be to not attend ANY large gatherings for obvious reasons you mentioned.
You want to blame my attitude?
Not here to argue.

As of today, 6361 deaths in PA from Covid-19. Add that to the People who will arrive from other states that may be carries of CV-19, I’m thinking if they have this event, they are compounding the situation our country is in. Looks like I’m staying home, because if any out of stater goes, we will have to self quarantine for 14 days. Just my opinion.

A good friend of mine passed away at 50 two weeks ago.
Marvin was in a wheel chair, weighed over 400lbs and was missing his right leg.
He drank at least 1 1/2 2 liters of Mt. Dew daily. He lost his leg to diabetes and was losing his sight. Went to dialysis every other day.
The Dominoes and Jimmy Johns drivers knew Marvin well.
Marvin wouldn't take care of himself and has teetered on the brink of death for a couple years now.
He went into AFIB and his lungs started filling with fluid. In the end he wound up drowning in his own fluids because the doctors couldn't get it off him fast enough.
Last Saturday, my sister and I went to the memorial service for him. We were talking to his brother and he told us that they got Marvin's death certificate the day prior. It states that Marvin died of COVID related complications.
I don't buy into the conspiracy theories, but I do know Marvin didn't die from COVID.

My uncle passed a few week ago. He was 95 and had multiple health issues and systems failing. My Aunt said he tested positive shortly before he died. I don't know if it was listed as THE cause, but I would bet he was counted on their tally sheet.

I'm sorry to hear of your losses.

Hospitals get thousands for each treatment of Covid-19. More when a ventilator is used.
Fact check: Medicare pays hospitals more money for COVID-19 patients

You're right, careless people should go, & the rest of Us will stay home. Despite the cost to the event for poorer attendance, which They are already struggling just to make happen, & the rest of Us who'd attend can just do without some of the few things We get to enjoy away from the daily,.....again, thx......

You are welcome!

It must be tough viewing yourself as a victim.

"Despite the cost to the event for poorer attendance, which They are already struggling just to make happen"

That statement is just too smart for me to understand.

:rolleyes::rolleyes:, only a victim of other's ignorance..............caught between those Who wish the economy will continue to tank for political ends, & those with childish bravado.."I ain't scairt o' no virus, & I don't have to wear a mask now,...we're green !". Sigh......................

Well Men, here is your answer......
At 2:45 P.M. this afternoon, Carlisle's Public Relations Director Mike Haglund got on the loud speakers to inform us that the Judge had directed the panel of the Pennsylvania Health Department that the cease and desist order was denied, and that all appeals on this matter would not be heard. Case dismissed.
You should have heard the applause and cheering all over the fairgrounds... It was as if the 25,000 of us had just received the checkered flag........
Carlisle then blasted "We Are The Champions" over the loud speakers, and we were all singing along !!!!

Bring On Chrysler's @ Carlisle !!!!!!!!!!

a friend and me where at Carlisle today from 7am till about noon, about 1/2 of the people had a face covering on of some type, most people kept a safe distance from each other, i feel as long as most people keep a safe distance and wear some type of face covering, i feel safe, if someone i see is coughing and hacking i will keep a lot more space i feel better outside at an event like this over inside closed up with a lot of people !

Exactly 22Dog22,
Spread over 82 acres, 12 hours a day, 4 days show, OUTDOORS, and people being intelligent about it,
We are 100 times safer here than at your local Walmart or supermarket....
We were all breathing fresh air, enjoying being human, enjoying our rights and freedoms, and regaining our Sanity..... Time to LIVE !!!!!!!!
Yours, Craig....
