Help Identify Early 318 Single Plane Intake
The intake runners where they exit the intake manifold are quite a bit smaller than the 69 to 74 2bbl dual planes I have worked with.
This is one thing that is making me think it is an earlier intake like '67 just before the dual planes came out.
This photo of intake ports is with 318 size intake gasket, intake ports are quite undersized.
Even the 2 incoming ports at the plenum are 1 1/2" diameter. Smaller than the later 318 2 bbl manifolds that are 1 5/8" diameters up to 74 for sure on the dual planes.
So the smaller ports are making me think earlier manifold.
68 came with the 9.2:1 pistons and maybe even a little more stock cam. So maybe they opened up the intake a bit to help them breathe better with the added performance starting in '68.
Just piecing this together from observations.
