“Double Star is Mr Chai Yongsen. It has been awarded honors by the Chinese government for environmental technology developments.
Originally a rubber company with a focus on footwear within China it transitioned to tire development in 2002 through the acquisition of Chinese Green Tires and increased capacity after the acquisition of Dongfeng tires in 2005.
In 2011 they unveiled a new range of colored tires. Colored tires have long been a difficult item to produce well as the carbon black that gives tires their color is actually an agent that gives tires longevity, it is difficult to develop tires with similar properties in colors other than black.”
