I figured it is you. did you run the scamp ?I was at the raceway with my grey scamp. Maybe me?
Yes Sir....I normally shoot from down track towards the tree but with things being what they are this year I have to shoot from the absolute worst possible spot....until it is dark...lol...I was at the raceway with my grey scamp. Maybe me?
Yes, it was the first time out. Just got it road worthy. The next day I checked my holley sniper set up and with all the driving I did, I thought it was self-tuning. Nope, the closed loop and learning were off. So basically it was base tuned and ran slower than expected but no parts were left at the track. I am happy for the first time at the track.
I hardly ever notice the times...just what the car does. He red lit once....lot of clutch dust on a couple of other passes. When I get his pictures edited I will post them. How did the Lemon Twister do?
I know that car from Woodburn Oregon track! Saw that first in the mid 90s...beautiful Duster and yes, hauls the mail
I don’t know all of the runs but on the run I heard, he missed a shift and ran 12.8. I think he was in high 10s. On others
Our altitude is in the 2300' area. I have heard several racers say that we are in the ".2-.3 slower then sea level" most days. Track was sticky, all things considered. Friday night was on the cooler side.Probably 11:30s which is the norm. He was breaking in his fresh engine and seating the rings. Missing a shift is unusual for him. He’s running a Jerico.
all boils down to track conditions and air. The elevation is a given.
OJ...the announcer...does WAY to much talking. Pretty sure Jim is the original owner...and the car has been a racer since day 1.I did not see it but my son heard the announcer say it. As well as saying that the car had been racing for 40 plus years.
