Mopar Mini starter making noise

Since I did not have any room to adjust the starter away from the flywheel, i decided to take a chance and grind down the starter gear a little. That solved the problem even though it seems like a hack.

Wow! I have never seen that done before but if it worked what the heck. I may have to do the same thing as there are not many options. My second starter was even worse than the first. Is there any noise left with yours? Or was is it a 100% success? Thanks for your reply.
