Manual steering is just the single pulley/balancer from the alternator. When PS is added its pulley bolts to the front of the single pulley. When AC Is added, its pulley bolts to the rear of the single oulley which means if Adding AC, then the balancer needs to come off. I can get a pic in the morning of a slant 3 pulley setup
