I live in the high desert. No point in cleaning it off until it's ready for the road.

The passenger side hinge, the spring came off.
The drivers side was still on, had to un spring that one so I could close it. Plan on putting new ones on when it gets painted.

The hood needed a lot of fitting/ sanding.
The inserts were mislocated by 1.5" too far forward, so I welded some extensions to the hinge arms and drilled it accordingly.

Hood pins installed, it is a functioning hood now.

There was no need to call and ask for a refund or replacement, if would take too long if I could even get another one. It took 10 weeks to get this one. I'll live with it.

Where is a good place to install the hood pin lanyards?

You can see how far it is off since the original slots are not used.

I welded on extensions to mount it.

Doin what it takes, nice job. What are you planning for a paint scheme?

Anthracite with black stripe around the back. Hood and possibly some black stripes on the sides.
