I don't know how much compression you have, but i would say NO. Remember i live at 6600 feet!
I'm running the RHS Iron heads with 12.8 compression.

I would say pull you spark plugs and read the ground strap before you try any more timing.
My car Don't like 40 degrees but i usually run 38 total.

At sea level i would be starting at 32 degrees and testing it from there.
