The fender tag should provide clues also. Only the Swinger 340 came with the 340 engine in 1970, it wasn’t an option on other models. Post your fender tag and we can decode it.

No 340 car should have a 904 transmission from the factory.

Have you numbers matched the engine to the car?

Here are pictures of the master cylinder rod coming out of the firewall. I haven't touched it. It's the way I got the car. This makes me think it didn't have a booster. Also is the fender tag. Any help would be great. I will get back soon with the tranny numbers. Thanks. Brake rod in firewall.JPG
