When I had my 70 Dart painted around 2003, it cost me $3500 for base/clear on a car that needed only 40 to 50 hrs of block sanding, I thought that was expensive. I had my 76 Ventura painted a few years ago, car is low mileage, zero rust (was around 34k miles at the time), cost me $2700 plus materials, I can't even imagine paying $10k and more for friggin paint, ridiculous! My 75 Dart Sport is lucky to get rattle can flat black.
