Is there a source for the correct chrome valve covers?
I would like to replace the worn chrome on mine, or have them plated.
Thanks in advance.

Stan, check with your powder coater, my coater had a powder so close, it was hard to tell the difference.

67 and 68 are pretty close to the same. 69 is different. If yours aren't rusted too bad have them rechromed. We had a set down by Tri-City plating in Tennessee and they came out awesome. I do not recall what we paid, but they were not cheap.

Start a want ad. You never know what you might find.

Not sure what you mean by "correct" but if yours are mopar valve covers you may want to have them chromed and you can expect that cost to be approx. $300. I've had a ton of stuff chromed for my Harley's through the years and show chrome is crazy expensive, but it's done correctly.

Since the EPA got involved because of careless plating companies years back, chrome plating has gone out of sight price wise. I understand why they got involved because the chemicals are hazardous & it costs the platers money to dispose of the stuff properly. I had a friend with a small plating shop, he did the right thing having his used chemicals disposed of properly. The rising costs of proper disposal basically put him out of business.

I slid the rubber spark plug wire brackets and PCV grommet off before chroming, then slid them back on after with a little RTV black. They came out great.

I agree, they do look nice! Better than what was new back then.
When I said correct I mean OEM, not a china knockoff or a aftermarket cover.
Let me check with my local guys, they go south of the border and do stuff.

Well don't have the car any more, but I do have a 67 Magnum motor from a 67 Coronet RT. I have had a few sets over the years, but somehow I ended up with the worst looking set.
