I am thinking about mounting my current project build on a commercial grade rotisserie to take my build all the way through paint. Anyone on the site who has done that?
What is your intention for the car? If you want to do a full nut & bolt restoration, then use a rotisserie. You can have access to every nook and cranny on the car.
If you have a running & driving car that you maybe want to do some body work on and freshen up the paint/interior/suspension/etc, then you don't need to put it on a rotisserie. Just my opinion.
If all the body panels are done then rotisserie is the way to go. I did 1/2 quarters on my 66’ Barracuda and it made the work much easier. No more stretching to sand. Just roll the car to you. Painting under carriage or even laying fuel lines or brake lines.
Yes my decision is made. I building a 1965 Comet Cyclone and it's going straight up on a rotisserie as soon as I get the drivetrain out of the car. It just has be how an old man with fresh back surgery builds his car.
