Thanks for the replies. I went back out to the garage and did a close examination of one the larger flakes of paint I was able to get up from the floorpan and it does look gray on the backside. I guess the adhesion isn't that good as Alaskan TA said.
I should have said seam sealer instead of undercoating, on the floorpans. My mistake.
Was hoping the wire covers were removable. Would make cleaning alot easier.
Seller had pulled the broadcast sheet, in pretty good condition, from under the rear seat and it does show J55 which matches the hood pad and undercoating underneath the car.
Any step-by-step write ups for posting pics. I'm a points and carb man in a computer car world!
