4bt 72 Dart

-
No apology needed. I’m glad to hear everything is good. And congratulations on the new baby!!

Btw, any info/pics on the Cummins swapped truck? I’m really wanting to buy a 73-76 step side dodge and was thinking last night that a 4bt swap would be sweet and that’s what reminded me that I hadn’t seen anything from this build in a long time. Lol

Well, I can provide some pics, but....... I’m not exactly proud of what it is in. I bought a Chevy truck for the frame and ease of getting parts, for $500. I was going the swap my wife’s 48 Dodge 1 1/2 ton truck cab onto it, but found out afterwards, the frame is to wide in the bed area for a 48 style step side bed. So, since I had nothing to loose with is, I just threw the 6bt in it. It is a heavy half ton, so it should be a pretty good work truck, that I don’t have to worry about beating it up.

Sad to say, but after sitting around for about a year, and I need to get other project cars done. I decided to sell the 4bt, and probably the Dart one of these days. I hate not finishing this, but am happy to say that the 4bt is going into a 74 Dodge Charge. So, I dream lives on a bit. In sorry for not finishing it, because I know a few were looking forward to seeing run, but I have to much going on and a 72 Duster that just sits because I don’t have room for it at my house and it cost an arm and a leg to drive. So, I’m taking the money from the engine and buy a 5 speed from SST. That way I can have more fun and just my 904 and will be able to drive to work and back without using almost a tank of fuel. If anyone has questions and wants to do a project like this, just ask. I have no problem helping if I can.

Awe bummer for sure, but makes sense = we only have so much time and funds so it's best to choose what's best for us. Hopefully the Charger guy will do it up and start a post so we can all follow. Best to you
