360 pros & cons vs 318

huh Ive been the other way over the years, I haven't ever had a vehicle that "couldn't" do what I needed, where just dumping in a 360 in place of a 318, would have made the difference..... the mid 70s and early 80s 360s I have had have been gas sucking pigs..... Ive had cars that ran better after swapping a 318 in in place of a 360.... always had a "plan" that I thought could "fix" a 360 but have never had the opportunity to do it.... those dished pistons and low CR I believe is the 360's biggest handicap. I never understood why every 360 I have ever seen has had dished pistons and no 318 that I have ever seen, has had them... not that the 318s were "zero deck" or anything but it seems like Chrysler in their ultimate wisdom handicapped the 360s from the get go. especially in the 80s where their "heavy duty" engines were even listed at 7.some to 1 CR....
I would like to rebuild a 360 some day with flat tops that actually come close to zero deck, add a bit of cam and see what that does to it.
