360 pros & cons vs 318

What is that supposed to mean?
In the past I have pulled out a couple of/6s in favor of 318s, but my most recent truck buy was an 85 D 150 with you guessed it, a /6. And I don't know why but I'm inclined to keep it a /6. Even though I have 2 ea 318 and 360 magnum short blocks in the garage and a low miles motorhome 440 sitting here.
I don't have an extra small block trans, or small (or big for that matter) truck motor mounts or radiator right now, and money saved by not searching for and buying those parts means more that I can put into the engine. Stock mid 80s 360s we're such weak noodles compared to the heyday that I am pretty sure that I can get a/6 to at least equal the power of a "stock" mid 80s 360. Though my truck runs and drives as is I have an earlier Forged crank/6 block in the machine shop as we speak, getting ready to do the "Tim Taylor" more power treatment to. Unless they come back with terminal bad news about the block. Then I'll be using one of the V8s that I have.
Though I don't currently have a good set of uncracked heads for any of the magnums I have short blocks for.
