Need some information putting my son’s 340 together do we want bearings with the (dole holes?) H-P-? Style bearings. I’m lost on the dole hole and the type of bearings as the H bearing are P bearing. Thanks for your help in advance. KB9GIB
 
H bearings are race bearings and are used on a crankshaft with a radiused crank journal. Yours will take a P series Cleveite bearing.

Take a look at the King bearing line... the SI line is the standard bearing.

Often you can find older Federal-Mogul bearings on Fleabay for a good price. They work fine, too.

You really don't need a coated bearing or any fancy-schmansky parts.

Bearings with holes for dowel pins are usually aluminum connecting rod engines
