It's not murder if the patient pushes the needle DIY. Would you let your dog suffer in agony? I don't think so. And if this is what the patient wants so they don't suffer then what's the problem. The procedure should start with discussion with 2 dr.s, a psychiatrist and a lawyer to make sure the patient is still capable of making this decision or as mentioned earlier in a living will stating their wishes. It's all done with family around in a peaceful manner. Would being in unbelievable pain living out your final days which is inevitable praying to your God to take them be better? Not in my books.
